Animations-
Today in class I watched multiple short film animations, I learned that it is important to color your films correct and that the music in the background really helps portray the feelings of the film.

1- "In a Heartbeat" did a really good job of keeping it lively and changing the music to make the mood of the main character and using sound enhancements to help show what this means to the main character. This short film had a very distinct beginning middle and end. In less than 5 minutes the showed more then some people can in an hour. The showed the characters personality and goals and how they could achieve them in a short amount of time.

2- "The Present" does a really good job of explaining and showing the development of character. When the young boy gets the present it is obviously that he resents the dog because the dog only has three legs, without knowing why we just assume its because he's a regular teen. As the film progresses he begins to enjoy the dogs company and when then learn that the dog only has one leg and that him and the dog as kinda the same.

3- "Piper" by Disney shows a little bird who is afraid of the water and normally has his mother do everything but through trial and error he learns that the water isn't to be afraid of. He is so happy when he figures out how to get food because he was hungry and his mother wanted him to learn how to do it on his own.

4- "Riley's 1st date" is a fun play on the movie we already know and love. It shows a wide variety of emotions from each person. It is cool because it ties the movie back into this short film but if you only saw this short film it would also make sense as well.
