Logo Design Process

Image
The first step to designing a logo personalized to fit me was to sketch out some ideas and be able to visually see some ideas before moving onto the actual computer.  Here is an image of my sketch book and some rough drafts of my logo design. Once i made all these sketches i looked closer and designed on which ones i would want to transfer to the computer. Out of all my sketches i decided to make two of the one the computer. (16 & a variation of 6) Here is a visual of he differences between the sketches and the actual computer made design. ------                                            Another part of my process was studying what the logo said about me.  To help visualize i messed around with some type and tried new things. I then took some of these and make them into a "logo" or something to go with my logo as an extra. I think being able to look at multiple options on the computer helped me with the whole design process.

Photoshop Work

This quarter recently we started working with photoshop, we touched on how to fix pixel fringe, how to refine the edge, how to make things larger, smaller, rotate, mostly getting to know photoshop. We added images onto our pictures. We learned about how to work with the layers and how to merge layers. The main little projects that we have touched on are this one mountain project, a fixing pixel fringe project, and how to cast a shadow. I learned how to use the quick select tool, the lasso tool, the text tool, and many others. When we did the mountain project we had to add a title into the picture and my title was "cows need space too." because it had to do with what i had added into the image. I choose the text type because oh how it looks because when you hear space it sends your mind a realistic feel and the text should be like that also. Before i joined E-comm i hadn't had any experience with photo shop but now as a sophomore i feel like i can do more with it because i
